Flaco escaped from the Central Park Zoo in 2023, surviving in the wild for a full year. This was particularly impressive, given that he was born into captivity. After his year-long adventure, Flaco died by flying into a building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan - a fate that unfortunately befalls approximately 250,000 birds every year in NYC.
This canvas is hand-painted on 18 mesh canvas. Design is 4" x 3" and is drawn as a 4.5" round but could be finished in other shaes.
